ICA '99 BSS TEST SETS
Purpose
This database has been made available so that researches which participate
in ICA '99 can try their algorithms on the same data. This makes it possible
to compare their results. All files are in "WAV" format which can be played
through your web browser and can be loaded into Matlab using "wavread".
The Paper
The paper "Evaluation of Blind Signal Separation Methods" describes the
testing of BSS algorithm. It is written by
Daniël Schobben,
Kari Torkkola and
Paris Smaragdis
and is published in
Proceedings Int. Workshop Independent Component
Analysis and Blind Signal Separation,
Aussois, France, January 11-15, 1999, pp. 261-266.

The Data Sets
The data sets are speech/music cases only.
The Evaluation Code
The data set can be used to evaluate the performance of BSS algorithms.
In addition Matlab code for evaluation is made
available so that research efforts can be compared.
